It’s set! The SEC Championship, Round 2! Well, not really although it feels that way. Actually it’s the CFP National Championship game to be played Monday, January 8 in Atlanta at the Falcons new stadium. This should be a real, physical battle.
Both teams have stout defenses but I would give the edge to Alabama. Their defense, when they are healthy and come to play is NFL ready. Georgia is no slouch on defense as they have the Butkus Award winner at LB.
Offensively I give the edge to Georgia as their two-headed monster at RB with Chubb and Michel creates match-up problems for defenses. Alabama can run it too but not with the same one-two punch Georgia can. Key to game is which QB can stretch the field and force the other defense to back off the LOS thereby creating more running room. Right now I give that edge to Fromm of Georgia.
Early prediction: Georgia 20 Alabama 14
